There is a wikipedia entry on Replay TV, ReplayTV was a brand of digital video recorder (DVR), a term synonymous with personal video recorder (PVR). It is a consumer video device which allows users to capture television programming to internal hard disk storage for later viewing (and time shifting). The first ReplayTV model was introduced in January 1999 during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, at the same time as a competing DVR model from rival company TiVo. After the sale of assets to DirecTV, ReplayTV’s only ongoing activity was maintenance of the electronic program guide service by D&M Holdings, which was to be discontinued on July 31, 2011. However, on July 29, 2011, a notice was placed on the ReplayTV web site stating that service would be continued without interruption for lifetime subscribers and monthly subscribers may have a short interruption in service. ^[1] On September 2, 2011 programing contact through the ReplayTV dial up system was terminated without any update message being sent to subscribers or posted on replaytv.us.

QUID.tv Domain Name Sale for $18,500!

Just got done talking to my good friend Linny from the United Kingdom who informs me that she sold QUID.tv for $18,500!
Great News for her and the growth of the domain extension of Dot TV itself.

I had no idea what Quid meant at all since I am from the U.S. Lin says Quid = Bucks.
Quid is a nice short 4-letter domain that is also a great European Financial term. I would have passed this name up if it were for sale for $100 because of my ignorance of it even being a true dictionary word.

She has a great knowledge of website development and has had a few successful online sales sites. She recently entered the Dot TV Domain Investing space and has made quite the splash in the Dot TV space with this sale since it is the highest recorded sale this year so far.
She owns some other great Dot TV domains such as, USB.tv, CPM.tv, DRM.tv, Spades.tv, OWS.tv, Hoodia.tv, LPG.tv (developed) and many others but my favorite dot tv domain that she owns (and is developed) is Occupy.tv. There is a massive “Occupy” movement in the U.S. right now and Linda has one of the only developed Occupy sites that is “not for profit”. It is not monetized at all and is a great looking site. I am sure this will be another great sale one day for her soon.

The whole sale was negotiated and finalized thru Sedo.com’s International Online Marketplace.

The buyer seemed semi-serious with an initial offer of $2800. At least that was an offer which was easier to respond to r than a silly $100 offer.

I think this is a name that is worthy of $30k or more so I truly believe the buyer got a steal at $18,500.

Either way you look at this I believe it was a win-win for both Lin and the buyer.

Lets hope that the new owners have plans of developing this beauty. An incredible dot tv domain that gets developed correctly is a beautiful thing.

Awesome domains and I really believe the seller got a great price considering how HUGE the horoscope/astrology Business is.

OS.tv sold for $5400 and according to Jeff on Allthings.tv will be reported on DN Journal.

The domain was previously developed as Open Systems TV. The name dropped and Jeff picked the name up when it dropped.

The German phrase for Luxury Real Estate was registered November of 2011 so it was a quick flip.

The registrant looks to be an individual from Switzerland.

The non hyphenated version is for sale and was registered in 2007.
